What are you most looking forward to in G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra?

The movie is still over a month away but what are you most looking forward to about the film?

For instance I'm quite interested to see how Snake Eye's/Storm Shadow's story is portrayed on the big screen. I'm hoping this is given some screen time.

Also while I like the look of Baroness I have to admit I'm a bit more interested in the Destro character.

On the Joe side I really want to see what they can do with Scarlett. Sommers has always gone out of his way to include strong female characters in his films so I'm hoping she features as fairly prominate.

I also want to see how many classic characters get a cameo in the film just for fun. I'm really looking forward to Zartan but Brendan Fraser as Gung-Ho scares me a little

I like your optimism Robimus.

I'd love to see a good live-action Joe movie, but as soon as I saw that there were "techno-suits" that make the Joes run and jump and do everything faster and better, I realized I likely wasn't going to get that movie. Just as Michael Bay has made the Transformers franchise about the human military characters, this movie seems to have missed the ball and is focusing on technology to make the Joes more than what they ever were. I hope that works for the movie, I realy do, but from what I can gather it isn't my cup of tea.

At this point I am not planning on seeing the movie, but I will likely rent it to watch it when it comes out on Blu-Ray.

What I hope the movie does well is portray all these great characters. Greats to me include Snake-Eyes, Duke, Beachhead, Flint, Chuckles, etc. I doubt that all the characters will shine in the movie, but hopefully they aren't one-dimensional cutouts, either.

Cheers,
JB

How do we know that the techno-suits are a prominate part of the film?

I agree they look lame but thats the only part that looks bad to me at this point.

It seems like a prominent part. Basically everything I've seen so far, whether it was a promo or whatever, has had those suits in it.

I dunno. I'm not excited to see this. The thing I'm most looking forward to with this movie is for it to come out and be over with, so we can get some new 25th ann/modern figures ASAP!

I might rent the film, but I really don't have much of an interest besides seeing Stormshadow and Snake Eyes fight it out. I figure their storyline will get the Wolverine treetment, in that it will be prominently featured within the overall arc of Cobra rising and whatnot.

I don't belive that the suits will play a big part. I think, much like ROTF, the previews have been created from the first act of the movie. I really hope that this movie works, but my expections are very low.

I just want to see how they pull of Cobra Commander's voice. Other than that, nothing much.

From the four Trailers I've seen, and the footage thus far the Delta 6 suits play only a part in Paris.
Which seems to be an important part of the movie, but not the whole thing as far as I can tell.I'm optimistic that it will retain some of it's "GI Joey" ness.
