Due to unforeseen circumstances there are a few destinations that we never made it to, including this one.
perhaps some other time...
Dates: May 2 – May 15
General Information: “ Next Yosemite for sandstone fans.” “The most spectacular, big wall, desert sandstone arena, where 2,000’ sandstone walls loom overhead. Loose sandstone, sketchy pro, vertical bushwakig, and extreme climate: a perfect setting for a gourmet adventure climbing! The trend is for clean aid wherever possible, i.e., not considered sporting to carry a hammer on most of the big walls.”
Decision:This will be the best preparation for the Black canyon to hone our skills on big walls without the intimidation of the Black Canyon itself. The history of this place is huge and what it offers us is even huger.
